clean air, happy bees, native vegetation, local pollination.

Meet Our Bees

Intentionally bred for gentleness, resilience, and high honey yields. Our Buckfast Bees spend their days happily foraging on luscious native vegetation in the San Diego mountains, or on biodynamic organic farms offering pollination services.

We take care of them, they take care of us.

They are never fed sugar syrup, corn syrup, or artificial pollen. We treat for mites and disease using strict organic methods. They reward us with raw and pure goodness, with remnants of royal jelly, pollen, and enzymes - the way nature intended.

Meet giuseppe

Giuseppe doesn’t keep bees. The bees keep Giuseppe.

Some say he once caught a swarm with his bare hands and brought them home as pets. Legend has it that he never needs to look for the queen. She presents herself.

No one really knows where the legend ends and the truth begins.

What we do know is this:

Giuseppe doesn’t tend hives.

He commands an empire.

The ‘sunfolk’

Who are the Sunfolk?

The wild, the winged, the rooted, and the wandering.

The ones who wake with the sun, work with the seasons, and believe the best things are still made slowly, by hand, and close to the earth.

Somewhere between the Shirefolk and the Bree-folk live the Sunfolk — growers, roasters, beekeepers, bakers, wanderers, and good neighbors gathered around the same old rhythms of land, craft, food, and community.

They plant. They gather. They roast. They keep bees. They share what the land gives them.

Some are born Sunfolk.

Others simply find their way home.
